Built around a wardrobe of familiar forms reconsidered through proportion, fabrication and attitude, SMOLDERS occupies the space between refined dressing and the clothes we actually want to live in. Tailoring meets leisurewear. Masculine structure sits beside feminine sensuality. New garments carry the familiarity of pieces that could have existed decades before them.

A New Archive
The visual language of SMOLDERS looks backward without attempting to recreate the past.
References to 1970s glamour, European leisurewear, traditional menswear, sporting clothes and intimate dressing appear throughout the collection, but nostalgia is never the objective.
Instead, those references become a starting point.
A traditional trouser becomes wider and more relaxed. Denim is washed until it feels already familiar. A sporting half-zip is reconsidered through weight and proportion. Womenswear reveals the shoulder, collarbone or back with deliberate restraint.
Everything is familiar.
Nothing is quite as expected.
This philosophy extends to the treatment of the garments themselves. Fading, washing and variation aren't used simply to manufacture the appearance of age. They introduce character to pieces intended to acquire even more of it through wear.
SMOLDERS doesn't seek to reproduce an archive.
It seeks to create the pieces that eventually belong in one.
The SMOLDERS Man
SMOLDERS menswear exists between structure and ease.
Relaxed trousers, substantial denim, heavyweight knits and sporting references are balanced by a more traditional understanding of masculine dressing.
The proportions may be generous, but they are considered. The garments may feel relaxed, but they are never careless.

SMOLDERS womenswear begins with the body.
Rather than using embellishment to create femininity, the collection explores line, exposure and movement.
A shoulder is left bare. A neckline frames the collarbone. Lace allows the body beneath a garment to become part of its composition. A fitted jean exaggerates the leg before breaking dramatically into a flare.
Pieces including The Siren Flare, The Décolletage Top, The Second Skin, The Portrait Top and The Column Skirt approach sensuality differently, but share the same principle:

PRIVATE HOURS — COLLECTION 001
The first SMOLDERS collection is titled PRIVATE HOURS.
It explores the transition between the person we present publicly and the person who emerges when the obligations of the day disappear.
Daylight is expressed through washed denim, brown cotton, relaxed knitwear and sporting silhouettes.
Night introduces black, elongated proportions, exposed skin, lace and pieces designed with a more intimate relationship to the body.
The distinction is intentionally blurred.
Because the same person who wears a faded sweatshirt at noon might wear black tailoring to dinner and something considerably less restrained afterward.
PRIVATE HOURS is clothing for all three.
Luxury, Without the Noise
For SMOLDERS, luxury isn't defined simply by a logo, price or an attempt to appear expensive.

Some pieces carry the SMOLDERS name. Others may carry only an S. Some require almost no visible branding at all.
